_Los Pecados De Maria/The Sins Of Mary, combines the power of Hard Rock with the influences of their Latin heritage, to bring a loud and emotional mix to the ‘Rock en Español’ genre. Formed in Chicago in 2004 the band was founded by lead vocalist Marialen Magaña.

Her inspiration for the group came after writing what would later become the bands first single, “Por Si Una Vez”.
Choosing to rock out, and using her influences of traditional Mexican art and music, she formed an image for the band that would shape the culture for Los Pecados De Maria / The Sins Of Mary.

The band started coming together when Tijuana, México native Javier Cazares jumped on board.  Javier was a founding member of Planeta de Crystal, a rock en español band that received critical acclaim internationally with their releases ‘Míralo’ (1998) and ‘Velocidad’ (1999), before joining Los Pecados De Maria / The Sins Of Mary. His aggressive approach to the lead guitar is complimented by the percussive style of bassist, and former Planeta member, Agustín Santana. Their experience in song writing became enhanced by the solid legwork of drummer Alex Reynoso, also a former member of Planeta. Together the three musicians along with Marialen began to shape the style of rock she had envisioned for the band.

Los Pecados de María have had the honor of performing along side some of Latin-America’s top rock and pop acts, such as El Tri, Mago de Oz, Enanitos Verdes, Panteón Roccocó, Alejandra Guzmán, and Gloria Trevi. The band’s live show has the energy and excitement that can only be experienced in person.

 Recently Javier, Agustin and Alex,  received music equipment endorsements. Javier, who uses PRS guitars, is now included in the PRS family, along with Morley Pedals. Agustin has just been included to TC Electronics roster for the use of their amps. Most recently Alex has now endorsement thru Pearl Drums USA.
