_Flathead Fillups Bodes their Final Farewell at Sullivan’s Pub as Lead Vocalist Pat Halloran introduces Sikada.
                                                    by: Brianna R.

_Halloween weekend will be one to talk about for years to come as Flathead Fillups performed their final farewell at Sullivan’s Pub in Midlothian, [IL] on October 29, 2011.  Flathead Fillups gave the crowd one hell of a farewell performance.  Though full of fun, good times and very memorable moments, it was bitter sweet and left a bit of a somber.

Of all the bands I have listened to over the years, Flathead Fillups was the first original band I was introduced to who’s music I really believed we’d all be listening to mainstream, on the radio, one day.  Flathead Fillups maintains a large following of whom I’m sure were also saddened by the thought of “Farewell”.  Today, Flathead Fillups music can still be found @ http://www.myspace.com/flatheadfillups/music.  My personal favorites are “Above” and “Dream Your Life Away”.

On the upside, lead vocalist Pat Halloran, introduced a new band to the curious crowd, Sikada.  Sikada was formed by Pat Halloran and includes members Pat Halloran (Lead Vocals) Don Johnson (Guitar), Jeff Stasi (Guitar), Chris Finn (Bass) and Angelo Triolo (Drums).

If you enjoy the tunes of Breaking Benjamin, Chevelle, Drowning Pool, Disturbed, Godsmack, Pearl Jam, Korn and Limp Bizcuit, then you will surely want to attend a Sikada show.  I might also add that Sikada performs a pretty mean Marilyn Manson.

Be sure to check SIKADA out, LIVE, and follow them on facebook @ http://www.facebook.com/pages/Sikada/198566350155719

The Next Sikada show will be at Durbin’s in Midlothian on January 28, 2012.

To book Sikada at your venue contact Pat Halloran @ flatfill@aol.com.
