Chicago's Rock was born out of the need to find a place with real and complete information about local musicians and bands in the Chicago and surrounding areas.
Our main purpose is to provide our local artists with a place in cyberworld to promote themselves, their bands, upcoming events, releases, news and unify all their websites thru networking into one. Also to provide the visiting and local public with photographic and video reports, audio clips, interviews and other material that'll will give them more information to make an intelligent decision regarding bands/artists they want to see thus getting the most out of our local entertainment.
We also feature 'The Insider', a monthly column with interesting and informative articles regarding the music industry as it applies to our scene, with tips and advice to help bands and musicians reach their goals with a variety of topics that change periodically. It also, on occasion, features other music/band related articles that may not necessarily apply to the Chicago scene, but will have a connection to Chicago in some way and that are interesting and relevant.
Please note that this is primarily for Chicago-based bands. If you are or become one of our friends and are not in this area, we can add your link to the 'Friends outside Chicago' section.
Also, please don't send generic "check me out" or "how about some pub, add my band" messages, as they will not get you a response from us. A professional, courteous and well-written message in proper English, will get you the professional response your band deserves.
